Halloween Picture Sudoku
Written by Adi Ackerman, Head Teacher
"Halloween Picture Sudoku" is written for 1st Grade to 3rd Grade (Ages 6-9). Children a grade either side can use it too: younger ones with an adult reading it aloud, older ones as a quick refresher.

Halloween picture sudoku for 1st to 3rd grade: two 4x4 puzzles with pumpkins, bats, ghosts and cats, cut-out picture pieces and an answer key. Part of our logic activity packets collection.
How do I use this resource?
Explain the rule with the first row: every picture appears once in each row, each column and each small box. Let students place the cut-out pieces before gluing so they can fix mistakes. The second puzzle has fewer starting pictures and is the harder one.
What students will practice
- Gives 1st grade teachers a ready-made bundle of activities spanning multiple skills in one download.

What does this resource teach?
⌄
Two 4x4 picture sudoku puzzles that use four Halloween pictures, a pumpkin, a bat, a ghost and a cat, in place of numbers, plus the exact picture pieces each puzzle needs to cut and place. Each puzzle has one solution, and an answer key is included.
Can I use this logic resource for homeschool or classroom?
⌄
Yes, both. We made it for 1st Grade to 3rd Grade activity packets, and the page works the same whether it lands on a kitchen table or a center rotation. At home, most families go through it together and talk the answers out loud, and that talking is where most of the learning happens with logic. In class it runs well as independent work while you pull a small group. Print one copy or thirty, whichever the day needs.
How many 1st Grade to 3rd Grade logic resources are there?
⌄
1 printable resource, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.
What age are logic resources for?
⌄
These are written for 1st Grade to 3rd Grade students, roughly ages 6-9. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.
