About these worksheets

Preschool science worksheets on ClassWeekly are printable pages for children ages 3-5. They cover living things, farm and ocean animals, my body and the five senses, life cycles, push, pull and float, weather and seasons, day and night, healthy foods, recycling, and building. Children circle, match, sort, color, cut and paste, and draw while a grown-up reads the directions aloud.

Science for a preschooler is noticing, naming and asking why. Is it alive? Will it float? What will the caterpillar turn into? Every page here starts from something a child can see in a picture and then asks them to sort, match, compare or put in order, the same thinking a scientist uses.

The 391 worksheets are split into 10 topics. Living Things is the biggest, with living and nonliving, animal homes, baby animals, animal coverings, how animals move, insects and plants. Farm and Ocean Animals adds farm animals, ocean animals and sorting animals. My Body and Senses covers the five senses, body parts and healthy habits, and Life Cycles follows a butterfly, a frog, a plant and a chicken. Push, Pull and Float explores sink or float, pushes and pulls, and magnets. Weather and Seasons, Earth and Sky, Food and Nutrition, The Environment and Engineering and Design round it out. 330 of the pages come with an answer key, and the drawing pages have no wrong answers.

Pair a page with something real when you can: a bowl of water for sink or float, a bean in a cup for the plant life cycle, a walk outside for the weather.

Preschool science pages are written for ages 3-5 and are not tied to a K-12 standard. The Kindergarten science pages, aligned to NGSS, pick up from here.
