2nd Grade Earth and Water Worksheets

Ages 7-8 · 9 sub-topics · Free previews · Print-ready PDFs

Earth and water science is the study of Earth's land, water, rocks and soil and how they change. These earth and water worksheets for 2nd grade explain how a river carves a canyon, how a volcano can build an island and how ice breaks a rock apart, and they sort fast changes like an earthquake from slow ones like a glacier carving a valley (NGSS 2-ESS1-1). Other pages show how roots, terraces and windbreaks slow erosion (2-ESS2-1), compare lakes with rivers and islands with peninsulas (2-ESS2-2, 2-ESS2-3) and sort solid water from liquid water. The topic also has rock, mineral, soil and fossil pages. There are 44 sheets, each with an answer key.
