Common Core Aligned Lesson Plans
Every lesson plan on ClassWeekly carries the standard codes of the worksheets attached to it, so you can put a real code on your planning document without reverse-engineering it afterwards.
How the alignment works
Standards live on the worksheets, not on the plan. A plan inherits the codes of whatever it hands out, which means the alignment shown is the alignment you actually taught, rather than an aspiration typed into a box.
Reading the codes
A code like 2.NBT.B.5 reads as grade 2, Number and Operations in Base Ten, cluster B, standard 5. The grade prefix is the fastest sanity check that a plan sits in the right band.
When a plan spans standards
Some plans attach worksheets from more than one code, which is normal: a word-problem lesson touches both the operation and the problem-solving standard. The plan lists every code it covers.
