Frequently Asked Questions

Positional words tell where something is: in, on, under, beside, above and below. Preschoolers use them to follow directions like put the ball in the box, and they are the same words a child will need later for maps, math and stories. The 48 pages here teach two words at a time. On the in and on pages, a child listens and circles the picture where the teddy bear is in the box or on it. The under and beside pages ask them to find a dog under a table and a dog beside it in one big picture, and the above and below pages have them draw a sun above a house or a fish below a boat. A grown-up reads each direction, and every page has an answer key.
