6th Grade Integers Worksheets

Ages 11-12 · 5 sub-topics · Free previews · Print-ready PDFs

Integers are the whole numbers, their opposites and 0, so −7, 0 and 12 are all integers. These integers worksheets for 6th grade hold 20 sheets, each with an answer key. Students add, subtract, multiply and divide positive and negative integers, find missing addends, factors and divisors, work with absolute value, opposites and rational numbers on a number line, and solve word problems about temperature, elevation and money (CCSS 6.NS.C.5, 6.NS.C.6.C, 6.NS.C.7 and 6.NS.C.7.A). Add Four Integers, Subtract Positive and Negative Integers to 30 and Integer Word Problems About Temperature and Elevation are good places to start.

Frequently Asked Questions

Subtract the absolute values and keep the sign of the number farther from 0. On Add Positive and Negative Integers to 30, 14 + (−22) = −8 because 22 minus 14 = 8 and 22 is farther from 0. When the signs match, add the absolute values and keep that sign, so (−21) + (−18) = −39.
