A percent is a ratio out of 100, so 75% means 75 out of 100. These percents worksheets for 6th grade hold 22 sheets, each with an answer key. Students find the percent of a number, find the missing number in percent sentences, convert among fractions, decimals and percents, and solve sales tax, discount, tip and markup word problems (CCSS 6.RP.A.3.C). Find Hundreds of Percents of a Number, Convert Fractions to Percents and Find the Sales Tax and Total Cost are among the pages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Write the percent as a decimal and multiply. 15% of 60 = 0.15 × 60 = 9, and 17% of 300 = 0.17 × 300 = 51. For multiples of 10, find 10% first: 10% of 90 is 9, so 30% of 90 is 27.
