FAQ

How do I use this trace the sentence worksheet?

⌄

Read the sentence aloud and point to each word. Have the child say each word as they trace it, and leave a finger space between words.

What does this worksheet teach?

⌄

Each page has one sentence of four words or fewer, like The bee can fly, with a picture that shows it. The child traces the sentence twice on large lines made for preschool hands.

Can I use this trace the sentence worksheet for homeschool or classroom?

⌄

Yes, both. We made it for Preschool build a simple sentence, and the page works the same whether it lands on a kitchen table or a center rotation. At home, most families go through it together and talk the answers out loud, and that talking is where most of the learning happens with trace the sentence. In class it runs well as independent work while you pull a small group. Print one copy or thirty, whichever the day needs.

How many Preschool trace the sentence worksheets are there?

⌄

16 printable worksheets, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are trace the sentence worksheets for?

⌄

These are written for preschool children, roughly ages 3-5. Start with the first few pages, use the free preview to judge the fit, and come back to harder ones as your child gets steadier.

Does my child need to write letters already?

⌄

No. Pages start with tracing over dashed guides and build up to writing on their own, one small step at a time.
