FAQ
How do I use this draw and tell worksheet?
⌄
Write exactly what your child says, then read it back while pointing to each word. If they want to, they can trace over a word or two.
What does this worksheet teach?
⌄
Each page names a personal topic, like my family, my favorite animal or my best day, with a big box to draw in and lines below. The child draws and talks, and a grown-up writes the child's words on the lines. Every answer is different.
Can I use this draw and tell worksheet for homeschool or classroom?
⌄
Yes, both. We made it for Preschool drawing and early writing, and the page works the same whether it lands on a kitchen table or a center rotation. At home, most families go through it together and talk the answers out loud, and that talking is where most of the learning happens with draw and tell. In class it runs well as independent work while you pull a small group. Print one copy or thirty, whichever the day needs.
How many Preschool draw and tell worksheets are there?
⌄
16 printable worksheets, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.
What age are draw and tell worksheets for?
⌄
These are written for preschool children, roughly ages 3-5. Start with the first few pages, use the free preview to judge the fit, and come back to harder ones as your child gets steadier.
Does my child need to write letters already?
⌄
No. Pages start with tracing over dashed guides and build up to writing on their own, one small step at a time.
