6 pages in this set
Letter check-in, Q, R, S: Circle every Q, R and S, big or small. (Ask the child to name each letter aloud as they circle it). A quick check of which letters a child can already name on sight. Part of our letter check-in letter recognition collection.
How do I use this worksheet?
Sit beside the child and listen as they name each letter, since saying it matters as much as circling it. Jot down any letter they hesitate on and return to it in the tracing or finding pages.
What students will practice
- Students will name three target letters aloud on sight.
- Students will find and circle those letters in both uppercase and lowercase.
- Students will show an adult which letters they already know and which need more practice.

What does this worksheet teach?
⌄
This short set checks letter naming, three letters per page, such as A, B and C. Children circle every big or small copy while naming each one aloud. An answer key helps you see at a glance which letters were found.
Can I use this letter check-in worksheet for homeschool or classroom?
⌄
Yes, both. We made it for Preschool letter recognition, and the page works the same whether it lands on a kitchen table or a center rotation. At home, most families go through it together and talk the answers out loud, and that talking is where most of the learning happens with letter check-in. In class it runs well as independent work while you pull a small group. Print one copy or thirty, whichever the day needs.
How many Preschool letter check-in worksheets are there?
⌄
6 printable worksheets, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.
What age are letter check-in worksheets for?
⌄
These are written for preschool children, roughly ages 3-5. Start with the first few pages, use the free preview to judge the fit, and come back to harder ones as your child gets steadier.
Does my child need to know how to write for these letter check-in worksheets?
⌄
No. Most pages ask children to circle, match, color, or cut and paste, and a grown-up can read the instructions aloud, so children do not need to read or write yet.
