What does this worksheet teach?
⌄
There is one page for each letter from Aa to Zz. Children say the picture names and circle the letter each word starts with. All the pictures on a page share the same beginning sound, and an answer key is included.
Can I use this beginning sounds worksheet for homeschool or classroom?
⌄
Yes, both. We made it for Preschool letter sounds, and the page works the same whether it lands on a kitchen table or a center rotation. At home, most families go through it together and talk the answers out loud, and that talking is where most of the learning happens with beginning sounds. In class it runs well as independent work while you pull a small group. Print one copy or thirty, whichever the day needs.
How many Preschool beginning sounds worksheets are there?
⌄
26 printable worksheets, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.
What age are beginning sounds worksheets for?
⌄
These are written for preschool children, roughly ages 3-5. Start with the first few pages, use the free preview to judge the fit, and come back to harder ones as your child gets steadier.
Does my child need to know how to write for these beginning sounds worksheets?
⌄
No. Most pages ask children to circle, match, color, or cut and paste, and a grown-up can read the instructions aloud, so children do not need to read or write yet.
