⌄

Say pairs of words aloud and ask 'do they sound the same at the end?' Make up a silly rhyming word together after each match to keep the game going.

What does this worksheet teach?

⌄

Pictures sit in two groups on the page, and each one has a rhyming partner. Children name the pictures and draw lines to join the pairs. Each page leans on one or two rhyme endings, and answer keys are included.

Can I use this match rhyming pictures worksheet for homeschool or classroom?

⌄

Yes, both. We made it for Preschool rhyming, and the page works the same whether it lands on a kitchen table or a center rotation. At home, most families go through it together and talk the answers out loud, and that talking is where most of the learning happens with match rhyming pictures. In class it runs well as independent work while you pull a small group. Print one copy or thirty, whichever the day needs.

How many Preschool match rhyming pictures worksheets are there?

⌄

16 printable worksheets, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are match rhyming pictures worksheets for?

⌄

These are written for preschool children, roughly ages 3-5. Start with the first few pages, use the free preview to judge the fit, and come back to harder ones as your child gets steadier.

Does my child need to know how to write for these match rhyming pictures worksheets?

⌄

No. Most pages ask children to circle, match, color, or cut and paste, and a grown-up can read the instructions aloud, so children do not need to read or write yet.
