Six printable Halloween feelings posters: jack-o'-lantern faces for happy, sad, angry, scared, surprised and calm, with I feel sentences. Pre-K to 2nd. Part of our feelings and emotions collection.

How do I use this resource?

Hang the set in a calm-down corner or by the door for a morning feelings check-in, and ask students to point to the pumpkin that matches how they feel. Act out each face together before you hang it. The I feel sentence gives quieter students a ready frame for naming a feeling out loud.

What students will practice

  • Gives Kindergarten students posters, cards, and charts for naming feelings and managing big emotions.
  • Builds emotional vocabulary and introduces coping strategies for anger and other strong feelings.
  • Supports a calm-down corner, morning meeting, or a social-emotional learning routine.

What does this resource teach?

⌄

Six full-page posters, one feeling each: happy, sad, angry, scared, surprised and calm. A big carved pumpkin face models the feeling, the feeling word is printed large, and each poster ends with a simple sentence such as I feel calm. A cover page is included.

Can I use this feelings and emotions resource for homeschool or classroom?

⌄

Yes, both. We made it for Preschool to 2nd Grade emotions, and the page works the same whether it lands on a kitchen table or a center rotation. At home, most families go through it together and talk the answers out loud, and that talking is where most of the learning happens with feelings and emotions. In class it runs well as independent work while you pull a small group. Print one copy or thirty, whichever the day needs.

How many Preschool to 2nd Grade feelings and emotions resources are there?

⌄

1 printable resource, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are feelings and emotions resources for?

⌄

These are written for Preschool to 2nd Grade students, roughly ages 4-8. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.
