FAQ
How do I use this letter writing check-in worksheet?
⌄
Use it after the tracing pages, not before. Watch how the child forms each letter, not just the result, and note any letter that starts in the wrong place or is reversed.
What does this worksheet teach?
⌄
Unlike the tracing pages, this check-in has no dashes to follow. Five letters appear on each page, such as A to E, and children write the big and small form on the line beside each. An answer key shows the correct letter shapes.
Can I use this letter writing check-in worksheet for homeschool or classroom?
⌄
Yes, both. We made it for Preschool handwriting, and the page works the same whether it lands on a kitchen table or a center rotation. At home, most families go through it together and talk the answers out loud, and that talking is where most of the learning happens with letter writing check-in. In class it runs well as independent work while you pull a small group. Print one copy or thirty, whichever the day needs.
How many Preschool letter writing check-in worksheets are there?
⌄
6 printable worksheets, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.
What age are letter writing check-in worksheets for?
⌄
These are written for preschool children, roughly ages 3-5. Start with the first few pages, use the free preview to judge the fit, and come back to harder ones as your child gets steadier.
Does my child need to write letters already?
⌄
No. Pages start with tracing over dashed guides and build up to writing on their own, one small step at a time.
