FAQ

How do I use this sentence starters worksheet?

⌄

Say the starter aloud and let the child finish it out loud before writing. Help spell the end word if needed, or write it lightly for them to trace.

What does this worksheet teach?

⌄

Each page gives one starter to trace, then lines for the child to finish the sentence in their own words and a space to draw it. The starter gives young writers a place to begin, so the blank page feels less hard.

Can I use this sentence starters worksheet for homeschool or classroom?

⌄

Yes, both. We made it for Preschool sentence writing, and the page works the same whether it lands on a kitchen table or a center rotation. At home, most families go through it together and talk the answers out loud, and that talking is where most of the learning happens with sentence starters. In class it runs well as independent work while you pull a small group. Print one copy or thirty, whichever the day needs.

How many Preschool sentence starters worksheets are there?

⌄

10 printable worksheets, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are sentence starters worksheets for?

⌄

These are written for preschool children, roughly ages 3-5. Start with the first few pages, use the free preview to judge the fit, and come back to harder ones as your child gets steadier.

Does my child need to write letters already?

⌄

No. Pages start with tracing over dashed guides and build up to writing on their own, one small step at a time.
