Frequently Asked Questions

Cat, cup, car and cow all start with the hard /k/ sound, which is what C says most of the time. Preschoolers trace and write a big uppercase C and a small lowercase c, find every Cc in a box of mixed letters, and circle starting letters on the beginning sounds page. The "C is for cat" sheet has them name three pictures, circle the letter and trace Cc. In kindergarten, a cat shows up again on the new letter recognition page, next to a tracing page. First graders get a word search. Older kids can try a cursive C page, and the practice row adds uppercase and lowercase matching. Answer keys are included for several pages.
