Start like a c just below the midline and close the circle. Pull a straight line down the right side, past the baseline, and curve a small hook to the left at the bottom.

Frequently Asked Questions

Uppercase G starts like a big C and adds a short line in. Lowercase g dips below the line with a hook. Both get a trace-and-write page here, followed by a letter box hunt, a beginning sounds page with a goat, a gate, grapes and a gift, and a "G is for goat" sheet. Every preschool picture uses the hard /g/ sound, so there's no mix-up with gem. Kindergarten pairs a tracing page with a letter recognition page about a guitar, and 1st graders get a G word search. Mixed-letter pages and a cursive G page (better for older kids) round it out. Answer keys are included for several pages.
