How to write E and e
- Uppercase E:
- Pull a straight line down from the top line to the baseline. Then add three lines going right from it: one along the top, a slightly shorter one in the middle, and one along the bottom.
- Lowercase e:
- Start halfway between the midline and the baseline and pull a short line across to the right. Without lifting, curve up over the top and around to the left like a c, ending along the baseline.

Frequently Asked Questions
Egg, elephant, elbow and envelope each open with the short /e/ sound. Uppercase E is four straight lines, while lowercase e starts with a line across and then curves around, and the preschool tracing pages walk through both. After that comes a letter box for circling every E and e, a beginning sounds page, and an "E is for egg" sheet that ends with tracing Ee. Kindergarteners have a tracing page and a letter recognition page about the Earth. A word search covers 1st grade. For older siblings, there's a cursive E, and the practice row has mixed-letter matching and check-ins. Answer keys are included for several pages.
