Frequently Asked Questions

Rounding the lips like you're about to blow a bubble is a handy way to show where /w/ comes from. On paper, W is a rhythm: down, up, down, up. The preschool tracing pages practice it in uppercase and lowercase, and then your child circles every W and w in a letter box, says wagon, web, whale and watch on the beginning sounds page, and names pictures on "W is for wagon." Kindergarten adds a tracing page and a watermelon letter recognition page, and 1st grade a word search. There's a cursive W for older siblings and mixed-letter practice too. Several pages include answer keys.
