How to write Z and z
- Uppercase Z:
- Draw a line across the top from left to right, slant down to the bottom left, then draw a line across the bottom to the right.
- Lowercase z:
- Make the same three strokes, only smaller: across the midline, slant down to the left, and across the baseline.

A zebra, a zipper and a zigzag put Z to work. Your child traces uppercase Z and lowercase z (the same shape in two sizes), then hunts for every Z and z in a letter box. On the beginning sounds page they say each picture name and circle the first letter, and on "Z is for zebra" they name pictures and trace Zz. The zebra appears again in kindergarten on a letter recognition page, with a Z tracing page beside it, and 1st grade has a word search. Mixed-letter pages and a cursive Z for later on finish the set.
