FAQ

How do I use the Partly Filled Multiplication Chart 1-12?

⌄

Start with the filled rows and talk about how they help, for example how 6 x 5 is half of 6 x 10. Students fill in the empty boxes, then check with the answer key.

What is the Partly Filled Multiplication Chart 1-12?

⌄

A 12 by 12 multiplication chart with the rows and columns for 1, 2, 5 and 10 already filled in. Students complete the remaining products, using the facts they know to work out the rest. An answer key is included.

Can I use the Partly Filled Multiplication Chart 1-12 at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for 3rd Grade multiplication, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

Which multiplication charts are included?

⌄

Filled charts from 1-10, 1-12 and 1-15, in black and white or color, a page of four mini charts, and blank 10x10 and 12x12 charts to fill in, plus wall charts and a multiplication square.

How do you read a multiplication chart?

⌄

Find one factor in the top row and the other in the left column. Slide one finger down and one across until they meet: that box is the product. For 7 x 8, the row and column meet at 56.

Should students use a chart or memorize the facts?

⌄

Both. A chart helps students see patterns and check their work while they learn, and the blank and partly filled charts are a simple way to move toward knowing the facts by heart.

Do the multiplication charts have answer keys?

⌄

Yes. The blank charts, the partly filled chart, the patterns page and the scavenger hunt each come with an answer key.
