How do I use the Hanukkah Counting Dough Mats?
⌄
Laminate the mats or slip them into sheet protectors and set them out with play dough at a math center. Do one mat a night to count along with the eight nights of Hanukkah.
What is the Hanukkah Counting Dough Mats?
⌄
Ten mats after the cover. Mats 1 to 8 show a menorah with the shamash already in place and ask children to roll that night's number of candles; mat 9 asks for nine little flames, one for every candle, and mat 10 asks for ten gelt coins pressed onto circles.
Can I use the Hanukkah Counting Dough Mats at home and in the classroom?
⌄
Yes. We made it for Preschool to Kindergarten numbers, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.
How many Preschool to Kindergarten Hanukkah resources are there?
⌄
6 printable resources, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.
What age are Hanukkah resources for?
⌄
These are written for Preschool to Kindergarten students, roughly ages 4-6. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.
Can I use these Hanukkah resources for homeschool?
⌄
Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Preschool to Kindergarten classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
