⌄

Act out each movement before the page. A grown-up reads the directions, and the child sorts, matches, traces or circles.

What does this worksheet teach?

⌄

"Follow the animal" (movement paths) has dotted lines for the child to trace. Each path shows how one animal moves: bumpy hops for a frog, loops for a flying bee, waves for a swimming fish and a slow straight line for a crawling snail. It practices noticing how animals fly, swim, hop and crawl. There is no answer key, since the dotted lines show the way.

Can I use this how animals move worksheet for homeschool or classroom?

⌄

Yes, both. We made it for Preschool living things, and the page works the same whether it lands on a kitchen table or a center rotation. At home, most families go through it together and talk the answers out loud, and that talking is where most of the learning happens with how animals move. In class it runs well as independent work while you pull a small group. Print one copy or thirty, whichever the day needs.

Does my child need to know how to write for these how animals move worksheets?

No. Most pages ask children to circle, trace, match, color, or cut and paste, and a few ask for a single number. A grown-up can read the instructions aloud, so children do not need to read yet.
