What 3rd grade worksheets are available on ClassWeekly?

3rd grade worksheets on ClassWeekly cover math, reading, writing, and grammar for children ages 8-9. Each worksheet targets a specific Common Core 3rd grade standard and typically takes 15 to 25 minutes. Topics include multiplication and division facts, fractions on a number line, reading comprehension passages, and paragraph writing.

3rd grade is when math gets serious. Multiplication facts (0 through 12), division as the inverse, fractions on a number line, area and perimeter, and elapsed time all land this year. State testing typically starts in 3rd grade in most states, so the practice volume goes up. Your kid is now expected to solve multi-step word problems, read longer texts independently, and write paragraphs with structure.

The 3rd grade hub covers all four subjects. Math: multiplication and division facts to 100, fractions on a number line, area, perimeter, elapsed time, two-step word problems, basic geometry. Reading: longer informational and literary passages, inference, story elements, character analysis, vocabulary in context. Grammar: parts of speech (all eight), prefixes and suffixes, complex sentences, paragraph structure. Writing: opinion writing with reasons, narrative writing, informational writing.

Every worksheet aligns to a specific Common Core 3rd grade standard. The code is printed on the page.

The single biggest 3rd grade hurdle is multiplication fact fluency. Kids need to know their facts cold by spring. Five minutes of timed practice four days a week works better than a Saturday cram. If your kid is struggling with division, the gap is almost always in multiplication. Fix that first.

For state testing prep, the worksheets in this hub mirror the format of standardized tests (passage, question, answer choices). Practice ten to fifteen minutes a day starting six weeks before the test. Don't drill harder. Drill smarter.
