What students will practice

  • Gives Kindergarten students seasonal counting, vocabulary, and fine-motor activities themed around Christmas and Easter.
  • Builds early counting and matching skills alongside coloring and cutting practice that strengthens pencil control.
  • Works as low-pressure seasonal filler for the days around a holiday break, not core skill instruction.

FAQ

How do I use the Kwanzaa I Spy?

⌄

Children can cross off each picture as they count it. Print the picture page in color for the easiest counting.

What is the Kwanzaa I Spy?

⌄

Two pages: a picture field scattered with six kinds of Kwanzaa pictures, and a tally page where children write how many kinaras, unity cups, ears of corn, gifts, drums and crops they found.

Can I use the Kwanzaa I Spy at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for Preschool to 1st Grade holiday activities, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

How many Preschool to 1st Grade Kwanzaa resources are there?

⌄

2 printable resources, all free to preview. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are Kwanzaa resources for?

⌄

These are written for Preschool to 1st Grade students, roughly ages 4-7. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.

Can I use these Kwanzaa resources for homeschool?

⌄

Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Preschool to 1st Grade classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
