FAQ

How do I use the Paper Snowflake Craft?

⌄

Use thin paper so the folds are easy to cut, and have a grown-up help cut through the layers. Hang the finished snowflakes in a window.

What is the Paper Snowflake Craft?

⌄

Six pages, a step page and a full-size pattern for each snowflake: Star, Lace and Frost. Each step page lists thin white paper (8 in square), scissors and a pencil, then six steps to fold the square into a triangle, fold it in thirds like a fan, trace the pattern from the red dot, cut away the gray parts and open the six arms.

Can I use the Paper Snowflake Craft at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for Kindergarten to 2nd Grade holiday activities, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

How many Kindergarten to 2nd Grade snow and winter resources are there?

⌄

13 printable resources, all free to preview. There are 41 Snow and Winter resources in all, from Preschool to 5th Grade, gathered on our Snow and Winter activities page. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are snow and winter resources for?

⌄

These are written for Kindergarten to 2nd Grade students, roughly ages 5-8. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.

Can I use these snow and winter resources for homeschool?

⌄

Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Kindergarten to 2nd Grade classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
