FAQ

How do I use the Snow Day Emergent Reader?

⌄

Cut on the dashed lines, put the pages in order and staple. Read each page aloud together, then let the child trace the word and color the picture.

What is the Snow Day Emergent Reader?

⌄

Four sheets that cut into a cover and seven numbered half pages: "Today is a snow day!", "The ground is white.", "The snow is cold.", "Look at the snowy tree!", "Let's make a snowman.", "We go sledding." and "I love snow days!" Each page has a picture and one word to trace: snow, white, cold, tree, snowman, sled and love.

Can I use the Snow Day Emergent Reader at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for Preschool to Kindergarten holiday activities, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

How many Preschool to Kindergarten snow and winter resources are there?

⌄

5 printable resources, all free to preview. There are 41 Snow and Winter resources in all, from Preschool to 5th Grade, gathered on our Snow and Winter activities page. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are snow and winter resources for?

⌄

These are written for Preschool to Kindergarten students, roughly ages 4-6. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.

Can I use these snow and winter resources for homeschool?

⌄

Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Preschool to Kindergarten classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
