Give each child a long strip of paper for the tower. Ask them to count the hats and measure how tall their tower is.
What is the Stack the Hats Cut and Paste?
⌄
A one-page sheet with a child to color and 10 hats: a party hat, crown, top hat, cap, cowboy hat, chef hat, winter hat, firefighter helmet, sun hat and bucket hat. Three steps explain how to glue the child on a long strip and stack the hats.
Can I use the Stack the Hats Cut and Paste at home and in the classroom?
⌄
Yes. We made it for Preschool to Kindergarten holiday activities, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.
How many Preschool to Kindergarten National Hat Day resources are there?
⌄
3 printable resources, all free to preview. There are 7 National Hat Day resources in all, from Preschool to 5th Grade, gathered on our National Hat Day activities page. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.
What age are National Hat Day resources for?
⌄
These are written for Preschool to Kindergarten students, roughly ages 4-6. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.
Can I use these National Hat Day resources for homeschool?
⌄
Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Preschool to Kindergarten classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
