What counts as a resource, and how it differs from a worksheet
Worksheets are skill practice: a child completes them and you can see what they understood. Resources are the teaching materials around that practice. Lined and handwriting paper, page borders, flashcards, wall posters, number lines and fraction strips, graphic organizers, classroom labels, and calendars.
That distinction matters for how you use them. A worksheet is tagged to a standard and belongs to a grade. A resource usually is not, because a number line or a sheet of writing paper is useful across several grades at once, and the right one depends on where a particular child is rather than what year they are in.
