How do I use this resource?

An adult reads the setup page before class, boils the eggs, brews the tea and sets up on day 1. Students rank the drinks, then lift each egg out with a spoon each day to draw it and write one word about the stain. Check for egg allergies first; no one eats or tastes the eggs or drinks, and everything is thrown away after day 3.

What students will practice

  • Teaches 3rd to 5th grade students how to brush and floss, what dentists do and which foods help keep teeth healthy.
  • Mixes several short activities in one pack, from tracing and counting to coloring.
  • Made for 3rd to 5th grade, and prints on US Letter paper for a lesson, a center or home.

Four pages after the cover: an adult setup page with supplies, steps, safety notes and why eggshell is a stand-in for enamel, a prediction page, a 3-day observation table with a drawing space for each egg, and a results page.
