FAQ

How do I use the Black History Heroes Coloring Posters?

⌄

An adult reads the bio aloud, then the child colors the poster. Give each child one person and hang the finished posters in a row for February.

What are the Black History Heroes Coloring Posters?

⌄

Sixteen posters after the cover, one person each, from Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass and Rosa Parks to Bessie Coleman, Garrett Morgan and Shirley Chisholm. Every poster has the person's name, a portrait to color inside an arched frame, life dates and a one or two sentence bio.

Can I use the Black History Heroes Coloring Posters at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for Kindergarten to 2nd Grade coloring pages, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

What kinds of coloring pages are there?

⌄

Animals, seasons and holidays, community helpers, space and nature, a full alphabet set from A to Z, a numbers 1 to 10 set, color by code pages, and themed pages that go with our weekly themes.

Are these coloring pages good for kindergarten?

⌄

Yes. The outlines are thick and the spaces are big, so they suit crayons and young hands. Many pages also print the name of each picture, so children can read the words as they color.

How do color by code pages work?

⌄

Each space holds a sight word, a picture, a number word or a math fact. Children read or solve it, find the matching color in the key, and color the space to reveal a picture. Every color by code page has an answer key.

Do I need a color printer?

⌄

No. The coloring pages are black and white line art, so they print well on any home or school printer.
