How do I use this resource?

An adult reads aloud. Children color the tree parts, cut on the black and dashed lines and tape the dashed edges together. They draw a kind act on each heart (older students can write it), cut it out and glue it on a branch.

What students will practice

  • Gives Pre-K to 3rd grade students small acts of kindness to try at school and at home, and words for talking about them.
  • Turns the event into a class display that children color, cut out and help put up.
  • Made for Pre-K to 3rd grade, and prints on US Letter paper for a lesson, a center or home.

Six pages after the cover. Two banner pages read Tree of and Kindness, two pages have the tree top and the trunk, and two pages have 9 heart leaves each.

Can I use the Tree of Kindness Bulletin Board Set at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for Preschool to 3rd Grade classroom setup, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

⌄

Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Preschool to 3rd Grade classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
