"Count and write, pictures" is written for Preschool (Ages 3-5). Children who are new to this can work with a grown-up beside them, and the instructions are meant to be read aloud. Older children who need more practice with count each kind can use it as a short review.

What does this counting worksheet cover?

Your child counts a set of objects and writes the numeral that matches. Writing rather than circling means they have to recall the shape of the numeral, not just recognize it, which is a noticeably harder step.
How do I stop my child losing count?

Have them touch each object as they say the number, and cross off or mark what has already been counted. Recounting a group and getting a different answer nearly always means objects were counted twice or skipped, which the crossing off fixes.
Is it a problem if the numerals are backwards?

No. Reversed numerals are normal through kindergarten and often into first grade. Point to a correct model rather than correcting the child, and focus on whether the count itself was right. The formation tidies itself with practice.
