Start with the sentence starters page because it gives newcomers language they can use right away. Keep a copy on each desk so students can point to a frame when they need help. The beginning sounds mat works well laminated as a desk reference during writing time. Do the word search with a partner and have pairs say each word aloud once found. At home, a parent can practice the months page by naming birthdays and holidays in each season.

Yes. Each of the 14 matching resources has an answer key. The sentence at the bottom of each sheet can be finished with more than one word, so the key shows one example. The card sets and the phrases mat are for speaking practice and have no key.
