Written by Adi Ackerman, Head Teacher
A fraction strip is a bar that shows one whole cut into equal parts, and each part is a unit fraction such as 1/4. These fraction strips worksheets for 3rd grade hold 10 sheets, each with an answer key. Children label strips in halves to eighths, write and shade fractions such as 5/8 and 2/3, build a fraction wall and use it to compare 1/3 and 1/4, find equal fractions such as 3/4 = 6/8 and write 5/6 as a sum of unit fractions. The last page solves word problems about a ribbon, a granola bar, a fence board and a trail (CCSS 3.NF.A.1 and 3.NF.A.3).
