3rd Grade Electricity and Magnetism Worksheets

Ages 8-9 · 4 sub-topics · Free previews · Print-ready PDFs

These electricity and magnetism worksheets for 3rd grade explain forces that can act without touching (NGSS 3-PS2-3). Children write attract or repel for magnet poles, sort magnetic objects, read how a compass needle points north and compare bar and horseshoe magnets. Design pages show how magnets lift a maglev train, close a cabinet latch, sort steel cans and seal a fridge door (3-PS2-4), and a test table shows a magnet's pull getting weaker with distance. Children also read how a rubbed balloon pulls up bits of paper and sort contact and noncontact forces, and the topic has an electricity page. There are 15 sheets, each with an answer key.
