I Spy the Letter

Each page carries a short note for the grown-up, so read the directions aloud and say the letter sound together first. Work through one page a day alongside your letter of the week. Children color the target letters red and leave the others plain, then name each picture before circling. Tricky look-alike pairs like b and d are worth pointing out. Single pages also make quick morning work or a take-home letter practice sheet.

Pages 2 to 13: Two letters per page, B through Y: color the target letter in a 6 by 6 grid and circle the matching pictures from 4. Page 14: Letter Z: color every Z and z in a letter grid, count them, then circle the Z pictures from 8.
