Lowercase Letter Formation

Staple the pages into a booklet and do one or two rows a day rather than a full page. Name the picture and say the sound before tracing so the formation and sound link together. Watch letters that sit below the line, like g, j, p, q and y, and point out where they hang. Highlight the midline for children who make letters too tall. At home, ask children to find one more object around the house for each letter they finish.
