CVC Word Frames

Before tracing, have children say the picture name slowly and tap one box per sound. Then trace the letters and sweep a finger under all three boxes to blend the word. Laminate the page so it can be used with a dry-erase marker or letter tiles. Cover the dotted letters with sticky notes for a harder version where children write each sound. Kindergarten and grade 1 families can do two words a night for a week.
