How do I use this resource?

Children color the template and add their own patterns before cutting. After folding, they cut each solid line from the fold toward the edge, stop at the gray line, then join the short edges and press gently on the top so the lantern bulges.

Two pages. Page 1 lists the supplies, gives seven numbered steps and shows the finished lantern. Page 2 is the template: a handle strip across the top and a big rectangle with a dotted fold line and solid lines to cut.

Can I use the Classic Paper Lantern Craft at home and in the classroom?

⌄

These are written for Kindergarten to 3rd Grade students, roughly ages 5-9. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.

Can I use these Lunar New Year resources for homeschool?

⌄

Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Kindergarten to 3rd Grade classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
