An adult reads each step aloud. You need one spring clothespin per dragon: the child glues the top jaw to the top of the clothespin near the open end, the bottom jaw to the bottom, then pinches it to open the dragon's mouth.

What is the Clothespin Dragon Craft?

⌄

Three pages after the cover. Page 1 has the supplies, five steps and the finished dragon. Page 2 has four dragon heads in color and page 3 has four to color, each as a top jaw and a bottom jaw.

Can I use the Clothespin Dragon Craft at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for Preschool to 1st Grade holiday activities, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

How many Preschool to 1st Grade Lunar New Year resources are there?

⌄

8 printable resources, all free to preview. There are 77 Lunar New Year resources in all, from Preschool to 5th Grade, gathered on our Lunar New Year activities page. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are Lunar New Year resources for?

⌄

These are written for Preschool to 1st Grade students, roughly ages 4-7. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.

Can I use these Lunar New Year resources for homeschool?

⌄

Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Preschool to 1st Grade classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
