How do I use this resource?

You need a lunch bag 5 inches wide. An adult reads the steps aloud; children glue the head to the bottom flap and the mouth just under it, so lifting the flap makes the puppet talk. They then write a speech, or tell it to an adult who writes it lightly to trace, and give it with a hand in the bag.

What students will practice

  • Teaches Kindergarten to 2nd grade students what Presidents' Day honors and who George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were.
  • Practices coloring, cutting and following numbered steps to make something to keep or share.
  • Made for Kindergarten to 2nd grade, and prints on US Letter paper for a lesson, a center or home.
