FAQ

How do I use the Valentine's Day Busy Book?

⌄

A grown-up reads each direction, says the letter names, counts with the child and reads the words heart and card aloud before the child traces them two times. Staple the pages into a book or offer a few at a time.

What is the Valentine's Day Busy Book?

⌄

Fifteen pages after the cover. There are 5 coloring pages, 4 line tracing pages (straight, zigzag, wavy and loopy), number tracing 1 to 10 in hearts, trace and color pages for the words heart and card, and uppercase and lowercase letter tracing. Two pencil paths ask children to stay between the lines from the bee to the flower and from the card to the mailbox.

Can I use the Valentine's Day Busy Book at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for Preschool holiday activities, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

How many Preschool Valentine's Day resources are there?

⌄

1 printable resource, free to preview. There are 49 Valentine's Day resources in all, from Preschool to 5th Grade, gathered on our Valentine's Day activities page. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are Valentine's Day resources for?

⌄

These are written for preschool children, roughly ages 3-5. Start with the first few pages, use the free preview to judge the fit, and come back to harder ones as your child gets steadier.

Does my child need to know how to write for these Valentine's Day resources?

⌄

No. Most pages ask children to circle, trace, match, color, or cut and paste, and a few ask for a single number. A grown-up can read the instructions aloud, so children do not need to read yet.

Can I use these Valentine's Day resources for homeschool?

⌄

Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Preschool classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
