FAQ

How do I use the "What Does a Dentist Do?" Reader?

⌄

An adult reads each page aloud while the child traces the word and colors. Cut each sheet in half on the dashed line and staple. Read it before a first dentist visit so children know the steps.

What is the "What Does a Dentist Do?" Reader?

⌄

Four pages after the cover, with two half pages on each sheet. After a title page with a name line, 7 numbered pages follow a visit: the dentist says hello, counts my teeth, looks with a mirror, cleans my teeth, takes an X-ray and shows me how to brush, and I get a sticker. Each page has a picture to color and a word to trace.

Can I use the "What Does a Dentist Do?" Reader at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for Preschool to 1st Grade holiday activities, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

How many Preschool to 1st Grade Children's Dental Health Month resources are there?

⌄

5 printable resources, all free to preview. There are 37 Children's Dental Health Month resources in all, from Preschool to 5th Grade, gathered on our Children's Dental Health Month activities page. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are Children's Dental Health Month resources for?

⌄

These are written for Preschool to 1st Grade students, roughly ages 4-7. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.

Can I use these Children's Dental Health Month resources for homeschool?

⌄

Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Preschool to 1st Grade classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
