Sound Button Word Cards

Cut the cards apart, laminate them, and keep them on a ring for quick daily blending practice. Show children how to touch each dot or dash and say the sound, then sweep a finger under the word to blend. Cover the picture with a thumb so they read the word before checking. Start with the CVC cards and add the dash cards once children are blending three sounds smoothly.
