What are the Kindness Cause and Effect Picture Cards?

⌄

Six card pages after the cover, in 3 pairs: one card shows a child with a problem and the next shows a kind act. The pairs cover sitting alone at recess, dropping a lunch and being new at school. Each card has a short sentence, a question such as How does Ben feel? and three faces labeled happy, sad and worried. A separate answer key lists the feeling for each card.

Can I use the Kindness Cause and Effect Picture Cards at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for Preschool to 2nd Grade holiday activities, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

⌄

Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Preschool to 2nd Grade classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
