2nd Grade Personal Narratives Worksheets

Ages 7-8 · Free previews · Print-ready PDFs

Written by Adi Ackerman, Head Teacher

A personal narrative is a true story about something that happened to the writer. These personal narrative worksheets for 2nd grade hold 12 sheets, each with a short model by a made-up student and a topic such as a time you taught someone something, the day you got a library card, a time the power went out or a parade you watched. Children plan on a story mountain, a First, Next, Then, Last chart, a Who, Where, What happened chart or a zoom in box for what they saw, heard and felt, with the time-order words first, next, then, after that and finally. Five sheets add a second page with a title line, writing lines and a checklist, and the others send the story to lined paper. The pages support W.2.3 and have no answer key, since each child tells their own story.
