⌄

You need candy hearts and a clear cup of water, and a grown-up reads each box. Candy hearts in science are not for eating: check for food allergies first, watch that children do not put hearts in their mouths, and have children wash hands after the test.

What is the Candy Heart Science Investigation?

⌄

One page with 6 activity boxes: Match Colors, Sink or Float, Count, Sort, Stack and Compare. Children group hearts by color, drop a heart in water and circle what it does, trace the number 5, sort into two groups, and tell how many stay up in a stack. The Compare box uses printed hearts.

Can I use the Candy Heart Science Investigation at home and in the classroom?

⌄

Yes. We made it for Preschool to Kindergarten holiday activities, and it works the same at home or at school. Families print it for one child and keep it where they will use it every day. Teachers print a copy per student or one for the whole room, whichever the day needs.

How many Preschool to Kindergarten Valentine's Day resources are there?

⌄

5 printable resources, all free to preview. There are 49 Valentine's Day resources in all, from Preschool to 5th Grade, gathered on our Valentine's Day activities page. Downloads are included with a ClassWeekly free trial, and every page prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

What age are Valentine's Day resources for?

⌄

These are written for Preschool to Kindergarten students, roughly ages 4-6. Many teachers also use them a grade up for review or a grade down as an extension, so use the preview to judge the fit for a particular child.

Can I use these Valentine's Day resources for homeschool?

⌄

Yes. Nothing here assumes a classroom of 25, so they work the same one-to-one at the kitchen table as they do in a Preschool to Kindergarten classroom, a learning center, or a tutoring session.
