Letter Formation Stroke Guide

Before tracing, have children skywrite the letter in the air with a straight arm, following the numbered arrows. Then trace the big model with a finger, and only then pick up a pencil for the dotted letters. Starting at the green dot builds good habits early, especially for b, d and other letters that are often reversed. Do one page a day, or pick out letters a child is still forming from the bottom up.
