3rd Grade Combining Sentences Worksheets
Ages 8-9 · Free previews · Print-ready PDFs
Written by Adi Ackerman, Head Teacher
These combining sentences worksheets for 3rd grade teach children to turn two short sentences into one (CCSS L.3.1.I). Children join two sentences that share a subject, like Mia ran and Mia jumped, join two that share an action into a compound subject, like Leo and Ana laughed, and join pairs with a comma and and, but or or. Another sheet moves an adjective in front of its noun, as in The brown dog barks, and a check in mixes all three. Six sheets; the five newer ones each have an answer key.
